We are happy to welcome our valued patients back to the office this as we reopen under the guidelines of the governor’s office. Hygiene and safety have always been a priority at our office and we will be taking additional measures to ensure the safety of our patients and staff during this time.
In an effort to maintain social distancing and in accordance with state guidelines, we will limit the use of our waiting room areas. When coming in for an appointment, we ask that you call upon arrival and wait in your car for one of our staff members to come check you in for your appointment. We will take your temperature and ask a few prescreening questions before bringing you directly to the treatment area. Following the appointment, we will contact you by phone to schedule your next appointment and process billing.
For your safety and the safety of our other patients, we strongly prefer for anyone accompanying a patient to wait in the car during the exam unless absolutely necessary. Caregivers and guardians assisting patients with special needs are welcome to accompany the patient to the treatment area, but must wear a facial covering.
As a reminder, patients will be brought directly to the exam area from the car when we are ready for their appointment and will not have to wait in the waiting room. We can accommodate one guest per patient to wait in the waiting room during their exam, but guests are required to wear a facial covering and we strongly encourage that they wait in the car instead. We also encourage guardians or parents who would like to be present for their child’s appointment to utilize video conferencing (such as Facetime) to do so remotely from their car. Dr. Danzer will be able to review the exam and answer any of your questions over video.
To help accommodate these extra precautions we ask that our patients observe the following:
- Arrival: You must arrive 15 minutes early to your appointment. This will allow us to check you in, take your temperature and conduct required pre-screening procedures in order to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. Please fill out the following health pre-screening form prior to your visit: bit.ly/danzer-ortho-consent
- Emergencies: It is important that you call ahead if you are experiencing an emergency. Due to the reduced capacity of the office, we cannot easily accommodate walk-ins and there may be long wait times for seeing patients who have not notified us of their emergency prior to arrival. If you are experiencing an emergency, please call ahead and we will be sure to schedule a same day appointment to accommodate your needs.
- Broken Appliances: Due to limited capacity, please notify us prior to your appointment if you have a broken appliance. This will ensure that we are able to reserve additional time to fix the appliance.
- Brushing and Hygiene: Please note that our brushing station will be closed and has been converted to a handwashing station. Therefore it is important that you brush prior to your arrival at the office, as you will not be able to do so once you arrive.
Finally, for your convenience and safety, we will soon be offering virtual appointments for check-up exams, recall appointments and retainer checks.
We thank you for your cooperation and are excited to be able to resume providing care to our patients at Danzer Orthodontics.
